Planning has now been granted for 19 apartments and an A1 retail unit at ground floor.
Works will commence on site in November 2020 with a practical completion date set for December 2021.
The ground floor retail unit has been pre-let to Cooperative Group Food Ltd, and the residential units will provide a mix of affordable and open market housing.
Works will involve converting the ground floor of the former pub to provide the convenience store in shell, ready for tenant fit-out. The upper floor will be converted to provide 9 residential units with a large rear extension to provide the further 10 years with associated car parking and EV provision.
