Another successful handover, this time of a recently converted convenience store in Norbury, SW16.

We were instructed by Northhold Group as main contractor to deliver the mixed use scheme, comprising of a retail unit at ground floor with back of house at first and second floors above, along with a one bedroom apartment. The existing building comprised of three vacant retail units at ground floor fronting on to London Road, which were in a derelict state, but after extensive structural and underpinning works, we have been able to amalgamate the units to create one larger retail unit, which was delivered to Co-op Group Food’s shell specification and handed over for tenant fit-out.

ABGI are on site to deliver Phase 1 of the development works in Norbury (South-West London).

The construction work will involve stripping back the derelict retail units on London Road to structural shell and undertaking extensive underpinning works needed to allow the three units to be amalgamated. The works will require a sensitive approach as the site fronts London Road, which is an arterial route through Norbury, so keeping the site disruption to a minimum in relation to the site clearance and servicing is going to be paramount.

The amalgamated unit will be converted to provide a new store for Co-op who are reolacting from their larger unit adjacent. The works will undertaken to Co-op’s latest specification and handed over ready for tenant fit-out.
